In Thursday’s Daily Scoop, we asked, “Do you think Nassau County’s e-bike safety course requirement is a good policy?” following news that middle and high school students need district authorization before riding e-bikes or e-scooters to school this year. Here’s what readers told us.

Richard Timm writes: “I live across from the high school. It is extremely dangerous that while students walk to school, others ride e-bikes on the sidewalk at speeds faster than cars drive on the street. I recommend a pedal-only policy along Citrona from Jasmine to Beech.”

Roy Nestor writes: “This is a very good idea and shouldn’t take much instructional time to do this for safety.”
